Theme Preview Rss

My Korean friend

I met a very nice guy during my study time in subang. He came from Korea. A place where a lot of girls fancy to go there. U ask them the reason, they will say a lot of handsome guys there. Maybe they are influenced by Korean dramas,  but i don't know, i never watch even one episode of Korean drama. Everytime i heard about Korean drama, my mind will tell me it must be about love, courtship, hardship, friendship, laugh and tears, heart-breaking moment, rustic scenery and the ending must include the leaving, disappearing, or passing away of somebody. It is either one of the main actors is obstructed by family members, want to further his/her study somewhere very far from their hometown, getting heart attack, suddenly getting cancer ( must be the most serious, incurable one), accidentally and surprisingly and unexpectedly having car accident, or AWOL (absent without leave). And the theme song must be very sad. Ya, i don't know what the singer is singing, but i bet most of the fancied girls out there don't know neither. Why want to make the life so complicated? Why want to fill it with sadness, death, parting away and tears? Why don't fill it with happiness, jokes, comedies, laughter and happy ending???

If the plot in the drama is reflecting the true face of their society, i think Korean couple must have endured a lot of hardship and adversity only can get married. Pity them......want to get married also kena bermati-matian.....salute!!!

OK, don't run out from the topic. The Korean guy in my class named Philip Yeoh Han Bin ( i don't know the correct way to spell your name, sorry :P ) He too is having sad moment now. Not because of his result, he is one of the smartest guy in my class. Smarter than me.......and he always slept in the class. Any remedy? I don't know, maybe that's why Malaysia girl fancies to go there.

Anyway, Philip is few of the foreigners i feel most comfortable to talk to. Sometimes even feel more comfortable than talking to people from same nation, same gender and even same colour. He is very friendly. Seriously, although he is very very very far from imaginary rich, he never show off. He always teman us to go market (pasar) to have lunch. Try to imagine. Pasar is a very dirty place. Stray cats, not hygiene foods, hot environment, noisy and smelly (not that smelly though) and sometimes even have beggars come to beg money. And the worst thing is we have to walk 5-10 minutes to reach there. But, he never complain nor want to change our lunch destination. He even is one of the few suggests to go there. He is one and maybe the only one of the foreigners that can adapt themselves so well in another country.

But God loves to have fun with this type of people. Recently, he was diagnosed of having SOME weird diseases. Is some! Not one!  I feel pity towards him. He won't be enjoying this semester break. He has to go back to Korea and has operations there. After operations, he has to wait few more months for it to heal. Oh gosh! Why Korean people has to endure so much???

He told me he might not be joining us next year as he might has to stay at Korea. If this is true, he might join A2 level next June. That's mean i won't be same class as him anymore. T.T

Luckily, last Friday, the last day of my first semester, we still have time to take picture. After few hours of taking that picture, he flew back to Korea.

Specially to Philip:

At here, I wish you all the best, get well soon and hope you can get rid of your weird diseases very soon. May God always bless you!!! Amen!!!
