University of Cape Town and Smuts Hall

Yo! What do you think about these 2 pictures? Picturesque right?? My university is so beautiful, i really can't believe it when i saw it for the first time. This is a university?? It is more to a tourist attraction for me (indeed, it is a tourist attraction during vacation n weekends...)

The first picture is taken infront of the entrance of my residence, Smuts Hall. Smuts Hall has a very long history. It was built on 1928, older than Malaya.....and now it is classified as a National Monument. Means....i am staying in a museum.....creepy....

The second one is also my residence. Just look at the design of the building. It is so unbelievable i going to spend my next 4 years at here ^^

Ok, because of my internet usage is capped here, only the 2 pictures above i did not compress. The following pictures are all compressed. Sorry for inconvenience.....

This is the view i always see here. Look at the sky, it is pink in colour. The scenery just so nice here.....but sometimes it can be torturing.....

This is the night view. If i not mistaken, this picture was taken on Chap Goh Mei. The moon is so bright and round :D

it is a common view here.....tv crew shooting here and there....and it is more common to see couple taking their wedding pictures here.....

This is Jammie Shuttle. Service provided by University of Cape Town. Good thing about it is it is FOC!!!

Does this car look familiar?? Yes, it does!!! You think it is MyVi?? No, you are wrong! At here, it is called......

Dang dang dang dang~~~~it is called DAIHATSU Sirion!! No more perodua!!! Strange huh? And it is quite popular among the students here....

This is one of the building in the university. I have forgotten where it is....u really cant believe it this is a university, right? so do i....

pictures below are my dining hall. We take our breakfast, lunch and supper (here supper is dinner, dinner is supper....strange huh??) in the Fuller Hall. Fuller Hall is a Ladies residence, Smuts Hall for gents....

I dont think u can feel that the dining hall look like the dining hall in Harry Potter. I dont know how to capture the feeling of Harry Potter's dining hall. But lots of people here say that it really look like what they seen in the movie......

This is Jameson Memorial Hall. The main hall in University of Cape Town. Look at the mountain behind. That mountain called Devil's Peak. Do you know why it is called Devil's Peak? Because in average, there are 30 people died per year when hiking this mountain....it is really devil, huh....

can you see me??? i will not be surprised if you could not see me....because i am the shortest in my course and in my residence....sob sob

Statue of Rhodes. Rhodes and Jameson are considered 2 most influential figure in establishing University of Cape Town. But yet, they are very controversial because they are racist!!!

that's my residence!!! can you see that!!! whole building covered by leaves....so picturesque.... :D

this is my residence, Smuts Hall, unbelievable, right??? i like my room so much!!! muaks!!! want to know where is my room? the highest floor.....second from left, second from right.....at the center lo!!! haha!!! maybe after 4 years, my room will all be covered by leaves.....but too bad, i have to change my room yearly.....

the entrance to Smuts Hall......

i dont know how old is this tree....but definitely older than me.....ya, this is the inside of Smuts Hall....

the purpose i took this picture is to show the window behind...there are designs on it.....very very nice....but i bet u guys cant see it, right???

the entrance to my flat...i stay in E17. feel free to visit me or send me something :P

u can see a phone inside....very weird, right? you must be wandering why there is a phone on the wall....

this is a telephone box. ya, the 1 we see in Superman movie where Superman forget to wear his red underwear beneath his blue skinny jeans :P

a different angle from Smuts Hall.....notice the leaves and the roots on the wall? it is so amazing...

yeah!! this is my room!!! ZAKUMI!!! 2010 World Cup mascot!! Tell you a secret, people here doesnt like this mascot...because it does not show the identity of Africa......

that's all for my room....cant expose too much about my room....i need some privacy too!!!

apparently, there was a rugby match yesterday. so i took some pictures about it.
this is pre-match warm up. all these views i can get it thru my window!! so nice huh? but too bad i am not a rugby fan. i dont know what is rugby.....sai sai.....notice inside the picture there is a big stage? the stage is for tv crew to record the game. you can imagine how important was that match.....

the match is going on......

i dont know what's the final score because i was sleeping when the umpire blew the final whistle....
